Pee Mak (2013)

 Pee Mak or Phi Mak Phra Khanong is a 2013 romantic, comedy and horror film directed by Bangjong Pisanthanakun. Pee Mak was inspired by a Thai folk tale about a female ghost named Nang Nak. During her life Nang Nak was a beautiful woman who lived by the river Phra Khanong with her husband, Mak.

Once Mak went to war and left Nang Nak who was pregnant. Then when it was time to give birth, Nang Nak and her child died in their house. But when Mak came home, he found his wife and child fine and waiting for him.

In this Thai film, Mak is played by a top Thai actor, Mario Maurer. Pee Mak (2013) has grossed over 1 billion baht ($33 million) in worldwide screenings. With a duration of 115 minutes, this film will shake your stomach as well as make you touched with its romantic side.
